SSC GD Revised Result 2026: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the SSC GD Constable Revised Result 2026 on its official website ssc.gov.in on 23 October 2026. The main result was out on 12 October 2026 and 1,97,408 candidates were shortlisted for PET / PST. In the revised lists SSC has shown two categories against every candidate, so that the category confusion of the earlier lists can be cleared. • SSC has put the revised lists on 23 October 2026. Your CBT marks, cut-off and shortlisting status will remain same. Only the category column is changed in the lists.
• Total 1,97,408 candidates are shortlisted for PET / PST. Out of them 15,782 are female, 1,81,251 are male (forces other than SSF) and 375 are male for SSF.
• Total 48,83,309 candidates had registered and 21,56,776 candidates appeared in the CBT for BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles and SSF.
• Result of 63 candidates is withheld and 88 candidates are debarred. Their lists are also given in PDF.
• If you belong to SC / ST / OBC / EWS / ESM and you cleared the CBT with the marks of Unreserved (UR) candidates, your category was shown as UR in the old list. In the new list both categories will be shown, so dont get confused.
• Next stage is PST and PET. Keep your documents ready and keep checking the SSC website for the schedule.

SSC GD Revised Result 2026 | Why It Was Updated

After the result came, some candidates asked SSC why the category in the list is not same as the category they applied under. SSC told that some candidates who applied under SC, ST, OBC, EWS or ESM cleared the CBT on the standard of Unreserved (UR) candidates, as it is allowed in the exam notice. So their category was shown as UR in the earlier lists. To remove the confusion, SSC has now uploaded detailed lists which show both categories for each candidate.

A total of 48,83,309 candidates registered for the GD Constable recruitment across BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles (AR) and SSF. Among them 21,56,776 candidates appeared for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), and 1,97,408 candidates are shortlisted for the next stage, which is PST and PET.

1. Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
2. Go to the Results section on the homepage.
3. Find and click on the link titled “Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026 – List of Female Candidates Provisionally Shortlisted for Appearing in PET/PST (List-I)”. For male candidates click on the male list link.
4. The SSC GD Merit List PDF will open on the screen.
5. Press Ctrl + F and enter your roll number in the search box.
6. Check if your roll number is in the list to confirm your shortlisting status.
7. Download the PDF and save it for future reference.

Along with the result, the commission also releases category-wise cut-off marks to decide which candidates qualify for the next round. The cut-off can be different depending on category, difficulty level of the exam and other factors.

• Revised result does not change your marks, cut-off or shortlisting status. Only the category display is changed.
• If your category is shown as UR in the list but you applied under a reserved category, dont worry. It is because you cleared the CBT on UR standard. Both categories are now shown.
• Keep all your original documents and certificates ready for PST / PET and document verification.
• Any change or notice about PST / PET will come on the SSC website only, so check it time to time.
• Result of withheld and debarred candidates is given in separate PDFs on the website.
